COPY+PASTE is a party game you play in person, on one shared phone. It has no accounts, no login, and no social features. It is built to work completely offline, and it is designed so that almost nothing about you ever leaves your device.
The short version. Player names and photos never leave your phone. We do not sell or share your data, we show no ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. The only information we receive is anonymous, aggregated usage statistics — and you can switch those off in Settings at any time.

These are the only things the app asks you for, and none of them are ever transmitted anywhere:
The app requests camera and photo-library access only so you can attach a face to a player. If you decline, the game works normally with illustrated avatars instead.
To understand which game modes people actually enjoy and where the app is confusing, we collect a small, fixed set of anonymous events — for example that a game was started, which mode it used, how many rounds were played, and whether a screen was opened.
These events contain only counts, on/off values, and fixed labels such as a mode name. By design they never contain player names, team names, photos, or any of the words or phrases used in the game — nor the internal card identifiers or deck positions of those phrases, which could otherwise be mapped back to the text itself.
This is processed by PostHog, hosted in the European Union. You are identified only by a random identifier generated on your device, which is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID, or any advertising identifier.
You can turn this off. Open Settings → Anonymous analytics in the app and switch it off. Nothing further is collected from that moment on.
If you buy COPY+PASTE PRO, the payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never see or receive your card details, billing address, or Apple ID.
To know whether your device should have PRO unlocked, we use RevenueCat, which receives the fact that a purchase occurred, which product it was, and the same random device identifier described above.
If the app crashes or hits an unexpected error, a technical report may be sent so the problem can be fixed. These reports contain the error and the code path that produced it — not your game content, names, or photos. Crash reporting follows the same Settings switch as analytics.

Apple additionally processes your payment as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Poland, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
How to make a request when there is no account. Because the app has no login, the only way to identify your data is the random identifier on your device. You can find it in Settings → Version, shown beneath the version number. Send us that identifier and we can locate and delete the associated analytics data.
If you delete the app without sending it to us, the identifier is lost and the remaining anonymous events can no longer be traced to any device.
COPY+PASTE is rated 17+ and is not directed at children. Some optional content categories are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and move the "last updated" date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
